terry mckee paleo artist Terry was born in Kokomo, Indiana in 1947 of Scotch-Irish and Chippewa Indian descent. He was raised on a farm near Tahlequah, Oklahoma. After serving four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Terry attended Northeastern Oklahoma State University where he earned a B.S. degree in Zoology and minor degrees in Geology and Chemistry. Terry has been employed for 30 years by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a wetlands and stream specialist. When possible, Terry spends time visiting fossil sites to develop ideas for his paintings. Terry and his wife Cheri live in Conifer west of Denver.
